Marathon Press Webinar WOW

Last night, we had 53 photographers from around the country sign up for the Marathon Press webinar (Marketing to Mommies) and it went great! The questions and comments following the webinar not only made me realize just how important this type of 'sharing' is to fellow photographers but also how great it made me feel to know I could help. For all of you that gave me your 'props and kudos' . . . much thanks back at ya!
Now to announce the winner of the FREE Marketing to Mommies DVD . . . Gianna Kasten!!! Gianna was the first one to send me a picture proving that she was watching the webinar with her pajamas on. Way to go Gianna - next time wear the ones with the footies built in :)

We have more webinars planned so keep your eye on the Marathon Press website, the PPA website and our blog to get dates, times and subjects. See ya online soon!

A Cool Tip from Kay

If you haven't had the opportunity to visit Vintage Villages in Scottsdale - you MUST!!! It's absolutely the coolest Olde World home furnishing and accessories boutique. If you're looking for a unique gift, a "little something" to freshin' up a room's decor or need someone to come in and completely help you with home design . . . Vintage Villas is the place!

It has been my extreme pleasure to work with VV's owner, Jody, on a few recent projects. Yesterday we spent time visiting some of the amazing homes that showcase her 'design magic'. Here are some images to give you a taste of her (and her awesome team's) talent. You can also check out her website:

Portrait of the Month for May

Welcome to our new blog feature: Portrait of the Month!
The team here at Images by Kay and Co. will be voting each month for our favorite image and sharing it with you as well as the story that goes with it.

Megan, Chris and Mia Wall visited the studio last week for her One Year Portrait and brought a wonderful guest . . . Mia's Grandmother. We created this 'ladies only' generation portrait and we're sure it will be a treasured image for a long, long time.

5 Ways to Build & Maintain Client Ties

Pleasing clients is a fine art. Whether in photography, carpentry
or dentistry, business owners can take years developing an effective
formula for delivering quality services that help build client
ties. People-centered businesses, such as photo studios, flourish or
perish based on their ability to make clients feel good, appreciated
and satisfied with each and every interaction. This knack is the key
to building enduring client ties.
One photographer who has mastered the art of nurturing
client ties is lifestyle portrait artist Kay Eskridge, of Images by
Kay & Co. Photography (www.imagesbykay.com), in Phoenix,
AZ. . . . to read more of the article follow this link:

Webinar a Success

A great big 'thank you' to all that attended the webinar this morning! We had a great group and the information shared was awesome. I think the PPA really has tapped into a great learning opportunity and I appreciate the chance to get involved. I can't wait to do the next one!
Now you can see that I wasn't in my pajamas while giving it!
